Los Angeles, CA – Over the weekend, the Republican Party of Los Angeles County announced its official endorsement of successful actor and businessman Antonio Sabàto, Jr., Republican candidate for the 26th Congressional District of California. The endorsement follows an impressive list of top conservative Members of Congress across the country who have already backed Sabàto Jr. for Congres including U.S. Representatives Ed Royce, Gus Bilirakis, and Tom McClintock as well as former U.S. Representative Howsard “Buck” McKeon.
“We are proud to support Antonio Sabàto Jr. for Congress. Antonio offers Republicans and Californians the best chance to reclaim the 26th Congressional District and send Julia Brownley into permanent retirement,” said Dr. Richard Sherman, Chairman, Los Angeles County Republican Party.
“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County. Together we will win this seat back through our message of safety, optimism and prosperity for all – better days lay ahead for Californians with new leadership,” said Antonio Sabàto, Jr.
A Jewish Italian American, Antonio Sabàto, Jr., immigrated to California in 1985 seeking a better life with his mother and sister. In 1996, after completing all the necessary steps, he became a United States citizen – a moment he calls “the proudest moment of my life.” Members of Sabàto’s family, including his great grandparents and great uncle, were murdered in Auschwitz during the Holocaust. As a young man, Antonio went on to establish a successful career as a model and actor, starring in numerous successful television shows and movies, as well as serving as the face of household names like Calvin Klein.
